Some years back my neighbours brought a sapling and asked if we could plant it infront of our home. They also informed us that it was an Avla plant and bore one of the sourest varieties of Avlas. The joy of adding another plant to the pool was enough for us to give the plant a place in the garden and it was implanted at that very moment.
Years passed by ant the sapling turned to a tree. Not the one with a thick bark or a giant one, but a 10 feet high, thin stemmed tree which leaned towards the weight of water on its leaves during rains and it still happens. Two years back it flowered for the first time but it didn't bear any fruit. However this year it did and it just felt like something precious to just touch those Gooseberries that were born infront of me. I just couldn't help but clicked pictures of it(posted above) before it was all eaten up or distributed. BTW, my neighbours were right, these are one of the sourest!
