Did it Right...

To talk in or during the class was not considered bad but worse when I was in school and I believe it still goes on that way. However you cannot talk alone, you need an accomplice, and who better than the one sitting next to you, your friend can be 'The One'.
So here I was, sitting at a place(class) I thought I didn't belong to when so much can be achieved or done outside the school. Everyone dressed alike as if fashion or atleast individuality will come to an end in 2012. So what shall I do in such a situation? Well the answer for me was talk to the like minded people (friends) and do whatever was prohibited. Strangely enough, the most important topics to discuss about or to be made fun of arrived in the middle of the lecture. Many a times a joke is cracked and we hold our laughs to the limits when it bursts out like an over blown balloon. Believe me, I was the first one to laugh out loud and take the blame.
We also participated in many extra curricular activities during the class like Tic-Tac-Toe, Bingo and the likes, Pen fights (popular choice), Aeronautics etc. But the ultimate champion was the one who did all of these or most without getting caught and I was no way near to this stature.
For I knew, to be caught meant, standing on the bench with my hands stretched upwards(sounds crazy), a slap, change of place(new accomplice), sitting on the floor infront of the girls row(I wont mind it today), to make the previous a little painful, kneel down(i still wont mind doing it), ear squeeze, standing near the dustbin in the corner like a dunce or a warning. But nothing deterred us as we knew none of it is fatal and we can get by it. As once caught, the class monitor was about to inform the class teacher about us, but I offered him a pack of Polo(The Mint with the Hole) and the issue was buried then and there. I was still unhappy, not because I encouraged corruption or something, but I could have shared the pack with him and also enjoy it myself (It was very difficult to get pocket money when you got lunch box!). This guy over the next few years was a part of RSP(Road Safety Patrol) and sported white uniform which always made me think of him becoming a corrupt traffic police. Although he became one of my best friends in the coming years, I couldn't erase the imagination off my mind.
